N1.5trn BOA Re-Capitalisation: Young farmers would be raised millionaires across North West – Barau
The Nigerian Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau has expressed optimism that with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recapitalization of the Bank of Agriculture, BoA to the tune of N1.5 trillion, over 558 young millionaires would be raised across the North West, Nigeria.
He stated this during a meeting of the management of the Bank and his office where a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU was signed to commit a whooping sum of N2.79 billion as agriculture loan scheme across the seven and 186 local government councils in North West geopolitical political zone.
In a statement made available to DAILY POST highlighting the scheme on Sunday, Barau noted that the re-capitalisation was already captured in the N54.9 trillion 2025 budget by President Bola Tinubu.
Commending the President for the vision for agriculture in Nigeria, the lawmaker said he look forward to the implementation of the loan scheme for young farmers, having the Memorandum of Understanding signed through his foundation.
