BREAKING: Tinubu approves ₦70,000 as new minimum wage

President Bola Tinubu has approved N70,000 as the new minimum wage for Nigerian workers, vowing to review the national minimum wage law every three years. The approval, which followed lengthy discussions and faceoffs between the Federal Government, Organised Private Sector and Organised Labour, was announced on Thursday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. According to Onanuga, President Tinubu also promised to find ways to assist the private sector and the sub-nationals to pay the minimum wage. He added that the President announced the decisions at the meeting held with leaders of Trade Union Congress (TUC)
