LCI new district governor targets challenges draining finances, quality life

Newly elected district governor, Lions Club International (LCI) (494A3), Dr Folashade Shotomide, has said that her 2024/2025 service year would focus on addressing hunger, youth, diabetes etc, and as this pressures household finances and quality of life.
  
Shotomide who disclosed this recently in Lagos said that100 youths will be trained on Information Technology (IT) and equipped with a laptop each to build their career. “All we do is to support the nation and the community to make life better by paying attention to the challenges and needs around us and see how best we can proffer solutions.”
  
Members present at the briefing include the Multiple Council Chairman, Mr Anogwi Anyanwu, past council chairman, Former Minister of Aviation, Air Vice Marshall, Anthony Opere and Elder Olaitan Ololade Ajayi,
  
Remarking, Ajayi said one of LCI’s targets is to train and mentor the youths. “We want to ensure that men and women of our great association experience joy in services rendered, which would translate to an increase in membership and development in knowledge and leadership skills.”
