ISPON lauds A’Ibom for recruiting 100 safety officers

The President, Governing Board, State Coordinators and the entire professional membership of Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) have lauded the Governor of Akwa- Ibom State, Umo Eno, following his directive for the immediate recruitment of 100 safety officers into the Akwa-Ibom State Civil Service.

According to the governor, these safety officers would help implement safety measures in different government facilities and assets to be managed by the newly inaugurated Boards of Akwa-Ibom State Investment Corporation (AKICORP) and the Infrastructure, Asset Management and Maintenance Agency.

Eno further directed the Head of Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien, at a ceremony held at the State Executive Chambers, Government House, Uyo, on Friday, June 28, 2024, to conduct a full staff audit of the state public servants, including those in Abuja and Lagos to ensure deployment where necessary.

Receiving the brief on this development from the Akwa-Ibom State Coordinator of ISPON, Ita Benson, the National President of the institute, Timothy Iwuagwu, described the development as a visible manifestation and testament to the relentless awareness drive and continuous interactions.
