Niger: Police promise adequate security for Eid-Maulud celebrations
The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman has assured of adequate security arrangements during the Eid-el-Maulud celebrations in the state.
The CP gave this assurance in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun.
He explained that earlier in the Ember months security arrangements, he had directed Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and DPOs to ensure that a robust security measure was put in place.
The CP reiterated that the Police Command is committed to safeguarding the public space and ensure a guaranteed conducive environment for the festive season.
Danmamman also reminded residents and members of the public to be security conscious, as he wished the Muslim Faithful a joyous Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
