AAC: Chukwukelu Misses Out On Podium Finish In Men’s 110m Hurdles Final

Alexander Chukwukelu missed out on a podium finish in the men’s 110 metres hurdle at the African Athletics Championship in Douala, Cameroon.

Chukwukelu clipped the first barrier, and struggled to maintain his rhythm, but still managed to finish the race in seventh in 14.26 seconds.

Despite only making his first appearance for Nigeria at a major event Chukwukelu still went on to o reach the final.

In the men’s 200 metres final, Alaba Akintola also failed to earn a podium place as he placed sixth.

Joseph Fahnbulleh of Liberia won the men’s title clocking a time of 20.25s to win ahead of Tapiwanashe Makarawu who clocked 20.51s and Emmanuel Eseme in 20.66s.
