• Aiyedatiwa inaugurates Sunshine House in Lagos
• Vows to sustain Akeredolu’s legacies
Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to attracting local and foreign investments to boost the economy of the state.
Aiyedatiwa, who gave the promise while commissioning the Ondo State-owned Sunshine House in Victoria Island, Lagos, said that the state would offer incentives to attract investors.
The project, aimed at generating additional revenue for the state and being managed by Ondo State Development and Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA), was initiated by the former governor, the late Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and completed by the Aiyedatiwa administration.
According to the governor, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the inauguration of the project was in fulfilment of his promise to sustain the legacies of the late Akeredolu, describing the former governor as a visionary and a man of integrity.
He said the old structure, inherited from the defunct Western Region, was outdated and unattractive to investors, which prompted the state government, through ONDIPA, to construct a building that represents the new generation.
Aiyedatiwa also stressed the state’s commitment to fostering industrial growth and enhancing infrastructure, including road networks and port development, to support business operations.
In an earlier address, Chief Executive Officer of ONDIPA, Gbenga Badejo, described the project as a development symbol and revenue driver for the state, commending the state government’s vision and commitment to creating a business-friendly environment.
Badejo noted that the project has investment value of approximately N3.3 billion, with seven floors, a brand new office building, and facilities, including kitchenettes, a terrace, reception, gate house, generator house, and waste management system.
The project developer, Akintola Oladejo, affirmed the project’s solidity and benefit to end-users.
In his goodwill message, former Governor of Ekiti State, Adeniyi Adebayo, reflected on his tenure and the significant developments since then and expressed a desire to secure similar benefits for Ekiti.
He commended Aiyedatiwa for continuing with the legacy projects of the late Akeredolu.
