One Mrs Stella Nwadigo, a teacher at Christ-Mitots School in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has been arrested over the alleged physical abuse of a three-year-old child, Abayomi Micheal.

DAILY POST reports that a video clip capturing Stella hitting the little boy during a lesson in class went viral on social media on Wednesday.

The video, which attracted condemnation from several citizens, was shared on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook.

Hours after the video surfaced on the internet, the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, issued a statement confirming that the suspect had been arrested.

According to the Adejobi: “One Stella Nwadigo, aged 45, the teacher who physically abused the 3-year-old Abayomi Micheal of Christ-Mitots School in Ikorodu, has been arrested by the police. She was arrested today, Tuesday, January 8, 2025, immediately after the criminal act. Justice must be served.”
