Soludo, Ebube Muonso spat: Priest condemns use of govt agency to maim Anambra youths

The public disagreement between the governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo and the spiritual leader of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Rev Fr Emmanuel Obimma, has continued.

The two had earlier been at war over the security situation in Anambra, with the priest tackling Soludo over the kidnap of some persons.

However, in recent days, Soludo who has improved the security situation in the state with the launch of Operation Udo Ga Achi, has also unleashed his media aides on the priest, publishing many damning information against him.

In a new sermon at his Adoration centre, Obimma who is popularly known as Fada Ebube Muonso, openly condemned the brutal activities of the Special Anti-Touting Squad Anambra (SASA), accusing the agency of treating human lives as nothing.

He criticized their use of excessive force, particularly the damaging impact of pestles, which is the major weapon of the Soludo-launched group, against arrested people suspected to be thugs.

Apparently referring to the governor, the Catholic priest also condemned government systems that enable kidnapping, deceive the public, and disrespect people of integrity, like men of God.

He warned that any administration built on lies and oppression will ultimately collapse in disgrace.

He said: “All those things they write on social media against me are all lies. I want to urge you all to think ahead and position yourselves wisely so that no one can use your past against you in the future.

“I have never gone to government for any favour or signed any document for them to do anything for me.

“If they had something like that, they would have been publishing it on the Internet, but because they have nothing against me, that is why they are concocting lies everywhere without evidence.”

He emphasized the importance of foresight in navigating a society where individuals are often held back by past associations or decisions.

He dismissed the efforts of the governor’s media aides, who he said have been writing negative reports about him, stating that their attempts are futile because the people already know the truth.

The priest reassured his followers that he is fighting on their behalf and will not be silenced.
