Hot SourceAgbotadua Casson Paul Kwabla Okudzeto, father of Perry Okudzeto, former Deputy Minister of Information and Deputy Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), will be laid to rest this weekend in his hometown of Atorkor in the Anlo Municipality of the Volta Region.
Mr Okudzeto, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the age of 88. He was the husband of the late Agnes Adzovi Okudzeto, a former National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and Madam Jemima Akoto.
He is survived by his children: Juliana, Cynthia, Faith Esi, Jennifer, Jerry, Perry, Percy, Carl, Cecil, Claude, Cindy and Ian.
The funeral programme begins on Friday, August 29, 2025, with the body lying in state at his residence in Adidome before being conveyed to Atorkor (10:00am – 3:00 pm). A family gathering will follow at the Okudzeto Family House in Atorkor at 8:00pm.
On Saturday, August 30, 2025, the body will lie in state from 8:00 am to 10:00am, followed by a burial and thanksgiving service at the Basic School Park, Atorkor (10:00 am – 1:00pm). Interment will take place privately at Atorkor. The dress code for the day is black and red.
The final funeral rites and thanksgiving service will be held on Sunday, 31 August 2025, at the Basic School Park, Atorkor, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Attendees are expected to wear all white.
The late Mr Okudzeto is mourned by a large family, including siblings Mrs Paulina Quist, Lawyer Sam Okudzeto, Mrs Nancy Kofiloto, Mr Yao Okudzeto, Mr Stephen Okudzeto, Madam Victoria Awotor Okudzeto, Madam Favor Mande Okudzeto, Madam Vasty Okudzeto, Mr Dan Okudzeto, Mrs Ruby Ashley, Madam Berlinda Okudzeto, Mr Ruben Okudzeto, Mr Simon Kwami Okudzeto, Mr Andrews Kofitse Okudzeto, Mr Kwami Okudzeto, Mr Myluck Okudzeto, Madam Irene Okudzeto, Madam Ann Julie Okudzeto, Lawyer Peter Okudzeto, Madam Enyonam Okudzeto, Mr Oliver Yao Okudzeto, Mr Nani Okudzeto, Mr Gershon Korku Okudzeto, Mr O.B. Okudzeto, Madam Gladys Okudzeto, Mrs Ernestina Bigah, Madam Hellen Okudzeto, Madam Eva Okudzeto, Mr Felix Koku Okudzeto, Mr Frank Kwabla Okudzeto and Rev Diana Okudzeto.
He was also an uncle to North Tongu MP, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and his siblings.
