One dead, three injured in Zamfara gas tanker, tipper collision

A fatal road accident involving a gas-laden tanker and a sand-loaded tipper occurred on Saturday morning at the entrance of Tsafe near Dutse, Zamfara State, resulting in the death of the tanker driver and injuries to three others.
Security analyst, Zagazola Makama disclosed the incident in a post on X on Sunday.

According to him, the accident happened at exactly 10:19 a.m., prompting an immediate response from the Zamfara State Fire Service.

“Firefighters arrived swiftly at the scene, working to cool the tanker and prevent a potential explosion or fire outbreak. Emergency responders also evacuated the injured victims to a nearby hospital for treatment,” he wrote.

The cause of the crash remains unclear, but authorities have commenced an investigation to determine what led to the collision.
