Convener of the League for Good Governance, Isaiah Ijele, has called on President Bola Tinubu to allow the Department of State Services, DSS, to investigate the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, certificate scandal hung on the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

Ijele made this call on Saturday in an interview on Arise Television, monitored by DAILY POST.

Tunji-Ojo was alleged to have forged his National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, certificate.

Reacting, Ijele said, “Alleged certificate forgery led to the resignation of the former Minister of Finance and, more recently, the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation.

“Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo’s case should not be treated differently, regardless of his performance as minister. The integrity of this administration will be judged by how it handles Tunji-Ojo’s situation.

“If President Tinubu refuses to allow the DSS to investigate the minister over the NYSC allegations, it will undermine the rule of law in Nigeria.”
