Hot SourcePresident John Dramani Mahama is expected to visit the Western Region today, Tuesday, as part of a one-day working tour focused on development and accountability.
The visit, announced in a statement by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Western Regional Communication Bureau and signed by the Regional Communications Officer, Richard Kirk-Mensah, forms part of the NDC flagbearer’s nationwide engagements ahead of the 2025 general elections.
During the tour, President Mahama will cut the sod for the commencement of work on the Sekondi-Takoradi to Cape Coast dual carriageway project, which the NDC describes as a “key component of the party’s Big Push agenda designed to accelerate infrastructure growth across the country.”
“This transformative project is set to enhance trade and travel across the Western and Central Regions,” the statement said.
The president is also expected to inspect ongoing health infrastructure projects, including the expansion of the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital, one of the region’s major referral facilities.
The visit highlights President Mahama’s renewed focus on improving road connectivity and healthcare delivery as part of his broader development vision for Ghana.
It also underscores his message of accountability and inclusive growth as the country prepares for the 2025 general elections.
