Justin Kodua refers Abronye DC to NPP Disciplinary Committee

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has referred Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, to the party’s Disciplinary Committee over alleged misconduct.

In a petition submitted to the committee, Mr Kodua outlined a series of actions by Abronye which he described as “gravely detrimental” to the image, integrity and unity of the party.

Key issues cited in the petition include defamatory remarks attributed to Abronye, in which he allegedly insulted flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Agyapong by saying, “even an elephant has more wisdom than Hon. Kennedy Agyapong.”

He is also accused of spreading malicious allegations against the General Secretary, claiming that he concealed a report purportedly implicating Mr Agyapong as “the destroyer of the party” while seeking his expulsion.

In addition, Abronye is said to have misrepresented the contents of a disciplinary committee report against Kennedy Agyapong, alleging that it catalogued several offences attributed to him.

The General Secretary is requesting a full and impartial investigation into Abronye’s conduct and the application of appropriate disciplinary sanctions in line with the party’s constitution.

“The party emphasizes that ensuring accountability within its ranks is non-negotiable because it safeguards the unity, integrity and credibility of the organisation. The leadership remains committed to fairness, discipline, and the protection of the Party’s democratic values,” the statement added.
