Inspector General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno will remain in his post for another two years after President John Dramani Mahama approved an extension of his tenure.

The President acted on a recommendation from the Police Council, opting for continuity as the service deepens its ongoing reforms.

IGP Yohuno, who was due to retire in December 2025, has been credited with enhancing police visibility and advancing community-policing initiatives since his appointment earlier this year.
