Ho-Akoefe installs Kafui Adzah as divisional queen mother

The people of Akoefe in the Asogli State have installed a prominent Ghanaian businesswoman, Kafui Adzah, as the new Divisional Queen Mother of the Katavi Clan of Akoefe Gadza in the Volta Region.

She was formally crowned with the stool name Mama Adzah II on Saturday, 27th September.

The colourful ceremony, steeped in tradition and symbolism, marked the unveiling of Mama Adzah II to her people and the wider world.

The ex-banker is currently involved in the catering service industry and has clients, including both local and international companies.

Her ascension is being celebrated as both a personal milestone and a call to service for the community.

In tributes, relatives, friends and well-wishers praised her for her grace, courage and devotion, describing her as a queen mother “in spirit tender, fierce and faithful.”

Speakers at the installation emphasised that the role of queen mother goes beyond status, reflecting a sacred duty to preserve cultural heritage, uphold dignity, and promote unity among the people.

Mama Adzah II has been encouraged to lead with wisdom, compassion and courage, and to serve as a source of inspiration for younger generations.

Her community expressed hope that her reign would bring growth, peace and progress to Akoefe and the wider Asogli State.

“Today, the world sees what we have always known: Mama Kafui is crowned. She makes us proud,” a family elder said.

The installation concluded with prayers and blessings for her reign, with many declaring: “Long live the Queen Mother!”

In a short statement, Mama Adzah II said, “This responsibility is not just a title but a commitment to serve, uplift, and honour our rich tradition, culture and development of my village”.

Louis Amenyo Adanuty, Ghanaian tech entrepreneur and founder and CEO of TekSol and Eganow, who graced the occasion, described the event as “A New Dawn of Leadership”, adding, “This is not just a title, but a sacred call to serve, uplift, and preserve the dignity of your people. Your journey reminds us that true leadership is rooted in wisdom, compassion, and courage. May your reign bring unity, growth, and hope—lighting the path for generations to come. Long live the Queen Mother!

Alain Gbeasor, the Director of Ace Technologies, stated, “Today, you have been unveiled to the world — Mama Adzah II, our queen mother. You carry grace, courage and endless love. We celebrate you, we honour you, and we are so proud of the woman you have become. Today, the world sees what we have always known — Mama Kafui is crowned”.

A queen mother in spirit: tender, fierce, and faithful. May your footsteps be straight, your home be full, and your name honoured by generations. We lift you up and say: You make us proud”.

Also present was Ludwig Hlordze, Director of Protocol and Logistics for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
