Former North Tongu DCE, Osborn K. Divine Fenu, dies in fatal road accident

The former District Chief Executive (DCE) for North Tongu, Osborn K. Divine Fenu, has reportedly died in a tragic road accident near the Central University College area.

According to family sources, the incident occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, October 26, while Mr Fenu was travelling from his hometown to Accra. He was rushed to the Tema General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Mr Fenu, who was appointed in October 2021, served as the DCE for North Tongu under the administration of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) until the party exited office earlier this year.

His passing has sent shockwaves through the North Tongu District and among members of the NPP, many of whom have described his death as a great loss to the party and the community he served.

Further details regarding funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in due course.
