Final funeral rites of Highlife legend Daddy Lumba scheduled for December 6

The final funeral rites of Ghanaian Highlife legend Daddy Lumba are scheduled to take place on Saturday, 6 December 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The ceremony is expected to draw family, friends, fans and dignitaries from across the country and beyond, as Ghanaians come together to celebrate the life and legacy of one of the nation’s most influential musicians.

Described as “A Celebration of a Legendary Life,” the event will honour Daddy Lumba’s remarkable contribution to Ghana’s music industry, spanning several decades and inspiring generations through timeless Highlife classics.

Fans and well-wishers have been invited to join the nation in paying their final respects to the celebrated musician at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
