The Office of His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu, the Paramount King of the Igbo Community in Ghana, has refuted allegations made by a woman identified as Gifty, who claims to have had children with His Majesty and lived with him in Swedru, in the Central Region.
In a statement issued on November 3, 2025, and signed by the Head of Communications of the Eze Igbo Palace, the palace described the allegations as false, baseless, and malicious, intended to tarnish the reputation of the Igbo King.
The statement emphasized that His Majesty does not know the woman in question and has never had any form of relationship or association with her.
It was further clarified that Eze Ihenetu has never resided in Swedru at any time in his life.
It also corrected the false name being circulated, noting that His Majesty’s correct title and name are Eze (Dr.) Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu and not Prince Chukwudi Howell, alleged.
“If the said woman insists she has a daughter for His Majesty, she is challenged to come forward with the said child for verification,” the statement read.
The palace warned bloggers, media houses, and social media users to desist from publishing or spreading the false claims, adding that legal and reputational actions will be taken against any individual or platform that disseminates fake stories about the palace or the Igbo King.
It urged the public and media practitioners to verify any information regarding the palace before publication and directed all inquiries to the Head of Communications, Mr. Ronney Gogo, on 0550077645.
The statement concluded by reaffirming the palace’s commitment to upholding truth, unity, and peace within the Igbo and Ghanaian communities.
