The Kremlin on Monday confirmed that Russian President, Vladimir Putin would talk to US President Donald Trump by phone on Tuesday.
Trump had said earlier revealed his plan of speaking to Putin on Tuesday and discuss ending the war in Ukraine after what he said had been positive talks between Steve Witkoff, his special envoy, and Putin in Moscow.
When asked about the planned call, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: “Yes, that’s how it is. Such a conversation is planned for Tuesday.”
According to Trump, a lot of work had been done over the weekend and he thought Washington had a very good chance of bringing the Ukraine war to an end.
The US president said he would speak about land and power plants but gave no details.
The Kremlin, when asked about those remarks, said it did not think it is appropriate to comment on upcoming discussions between two presidents.

Kano govt to revoke unoccupied properties, gives ultimatum
Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has issued an executive order mandating property owners in Kwankwasiyya, Amana, and Bandirawo cities to occupy their properties within three months or risk revocation.
The directive was announced on Monday in a statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, following the swearing-in of the new Commissioner for Housing Development at the Kano Government House.
Governor Yusuf emphasized that the move was part of his administration’s commitment to urban development, stressing that the cities were created to enhance the state’s progress.
“We must continue developing our state, and these three cities were established with that vision in mind. To all property owners in these areas, I am giving a clear directive: either occupy your properties or risk revocation,” he stated.
The governor urged those unable to relocate to consider renting out their properties, assuring that the government had provided all necessary infrastructure, including roads, water, and 24-hour electricity.
“The Governor’s Lodge is also situated in Kwankwasiyya, and I am already operating from there. I am with you. If you have any complaints, reach out and talk to the Governor,” he added.
As part of the new directive, Governor Yusuf also announced that the State Ministry of Housing Development would take over the current Housing Corporation headquarters, while the corporation itself would be relocated to Kwankwasiyya City.
Confirming the development, Sunusi stated, “The Governor is determined to ensure these cities thrive. The relocation of the Housing Corporation to Kwankwasiyya City is a step towards bringing government services closer to the people.”
The statement signals the government’s commitment to ensuring optimal utilization of the cities, which were developed as part of Kano’s long-term urban expansion plans.
