Ebonyi community gets monarch after 19 years

The people of Anioma Isu autonomous community in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State have elected and coronated Mr Wisdom Chukwuma Okoye, as their traditional ruler, after nineteen years.

The event, which took place at the community playground, was graced by people from all walks of life, especially the chiefs, elders, Ozo title holders and kingmakers.

The election and coronation of King Wisdom Okoye as the traditional ruler of Anioma Isu autonomous community were borne out of the love that the people of Anioma community have for him.

Speaking during the event, some stakeholders of the community described King Okoye as a tested and trusted leader who is driven by the well-being of the people of the community and congratulated him for emerging as the traditional ruler of Anioma Isu autonomous community.

The people thanked him for always taking good care of the people of the community through his empowerment schemes, construction of bridges, and grading of internal roads, amongst his numerous life-touching programs and projects in the community.

In his remarks, the traditional ruler, Wisdom Okoye, who could not hide his joy for the honor done to him by the people, thanked them for finding him worthy to serve as their traditional ruler and promised to replicate the leadership style of the state governor, Francis Nwifuru, in the discharge of his traditional leadership.

The king promised to be fair and inclusive in leading the people of Anioma Isu autonomous community and solicited cooperation from the people of the area to be able to pilot the affairs of the community with great zeal and commitment.
