The High Court in Accra has instructed lawyers for Patricia Asieduaa (Nana Agradaa) and her co-accused to file the terms of a proposed plea bargain ahead of the next hearing.
The Court directed that the document be submitted no later than three clear days before the adjourned date of December 16, 2025.
At Tuesday’s sitting, prosecutors hinted they were considering a bench warrant for the second accused, but defence lawyers explained they had not received any hearing notice.
The Court therefore ordered the Registry to ensure proper service before the next appearance.
Counsel for Agradaa told the Court that discussions with the Office of the Attorney-General on a possible plea agreement were well advanced, a point the prosecution confirmed, adding that the complainant, Pastor Emmanuel Appiah Fumum, had been part of the talks and was present in court.
The case stems from allegations that Agradaa, a former fetish priestess now turned evangelist, unlawfully broadcast private images of the complainant on her television platform and social media—an act prosecutors say breaches provisions of the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038).
Agradaa, who is currently serving a separate 15-year sentence for defrauding by false pretence, was present during proceedings.
Her lawyers also raised concerns about recent media engagements by the complainant. The presiding judge advised the prosecution to caution him against making further public comments while the matter remains before the Court.
