    Fisherman jailed 10 years after defiling teen girl at Mumford

    A 49-year-old fisherman, Samuel Armah, popularly known as “Kofi Nyan,” has been sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment with hard labour by the Cape Coast Circuit Court Two for defiling a 13-year-old girl at Mumford, near Apam, in the Central Region. Armah pleaded guilty to the charge of defilement when he appeared before Her Honour Nana Aba Quiba Nunoo on Tuesday, 28 October 2025, and was convicted on his own plea.
