The Kano State House of Assembly has approved a supplementary budget of N215.3bn after a request from Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Speaker Jibril Ismail Falgore, who presided over the plenary session, said the decision followed extensive debates and a detailed review by lawmakers.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, the Speaker explained that the approved amount stood at N215,378,374,543.62.

He assured that the Assembly would closely monitor how ministries and agencies spend the funds to ensure accountability.
