President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday received the Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, Ignatius Kaigama, at the Presidential Villa in the Federal Capital Territory.

The meeting is coming after the allegation of Christian genocide by the US President Donald Trump, who designated Nigeria as a ‘Country of Particular Concern’.

The US President also threatened possible American military intervention if the killings continued.

DAILY POST reports that the genocide claims have triggered conversations and the Nigerian government has since denied the allegations, saying both Christians and Muslims coexist peacefully.

As of the time of filing this report, details of the cleric’s visit to Tinubu in the Villa is yet to be ascertained, as the presidency has not yet commented.
