Rivers: Politicians with Fubara to bring down Wike – Magnus Abe

Former Rivers Southeast Senator, Magnus Abe, has disclosed that politicians backing Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers are trying to bring down the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.

Abe said the politicians were with Fubara due to their selfish interests of bringing down Wike and not because they love him.

He disclosed this at the Rivers State stakeholders’ programme hosted by Wike in celebration of the New Year on Friday.

According to Magnus: “Nobody is with Governor Fubara because they love Rivers State or Governor Fubara.

“They are with him because they see him as a means to achieve their political goal — to bring down the FCT Minister.”

Wike and Fubara have been having a running battle since the governor assumed office in 2023.

The duo have been fighting over who controls the political structure in the state.
