Ekiti to address food shortage through agric revolution – Gov Oyebanji

The Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP, Mbagba Ward of Ushongo Local Government Area of Benue State has suspended the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Bemgba Iortyom.

Suspended along with Mr. Iortyom is the Mbagba Ward Chairman of PDP ,Mr. Peter Asende who they accused of colluding with Mr. Iortyom to frustrate the growth and sustenance of the achievements recorded by the party in the ward.

Arising from an Extra-ordinary Executive Meeting of the party held at Atekombo, headquarters of Mbagba council ward, it was unanimously resolved that for causing embarrassment and great harm to the PDP in his numerous outings especially on TVC station, the Mbagba PDP resolved that Mr. Iortyom better be sacrificed before he cause more damage to the party

The meeting regretted how Mr. Iotyom publicly boasted of how he frustrated the party in the 2023 General Election by supporting the Labour Party Presidential Candidate and he will do same come 2027,

The meeting which was attended by 20 Exco members and presided over by the ward Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Akaanger said the actions of Mr. Iortyom who has been in connivance with the ward chairman, Peter Asende who deliberately refused to call for ward meetings over one year undermines the supremacy of the PDP and can no longer be tolerated hence their suspension.

Mr Akaanger said ” Mr Iortyom was suspend for gross anti-party activities, insubordination, indiscipline and non-payment of party dues over a period of time.”

Meanwhile following the suspension of the Benue PDP Publicity Secretary by party Exco of his Mbagba Council Ward, a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ushongo Local Government Area, Mr. Terese Achir has filed an application before a Makurdi High Court seeking an Order of Interim Injunction to effect his suspension.

In the suit marked N0. MHC/246/246 with Motion N0. MHC/1092/24 Mr. Terese Achir is seeking an Order of Interim Injunction restraining Mr. Iortyom from acting, parading or holding himself as the Publicity Secretary of the party in Benue State pending the hearing of the Motion on Notice pending before the Honourable Court.

Daily Post gathered that all the actions of the Mbagba Ward Exco against Mr Iortyom and Asende has been communicated to the Ushongo PDP Local Government Exco, the Ushongo Local Government Caucus of the Party, the Zonal Executive Committee, State Working Committee, the State Caucus of the party, the State Elders of the party as well as the State Executive Committee of the pary
