The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 6 Calabar, AIG Mustapha Mohammed Bala, has called on sister security agencies in Nigeria to synergize.

He said the cardinal responsibility of every security agency is to secure lives and property, and this requires effective partnership to succeed.

Bala stated this in a statement signed by the Zonal PRO, Edim Obazi Eyam, on Thursday in Calabar when he played host to the Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, State Command, Charles Brown, and his management team in his office.

The AIG described the visit of the NSCDC boss as timely, assuring him of his support.

He also encouraged joint operations with other sister agencies, advising the Commandant to always work closely with the Commissioner of Police in the state command to foster teamwork.

Speaking, the NSCDC boss stressed the importance of collaboration between the zone and his agency for effectiveness.

Brown said the need for credible intelligence sharing was very important.

He cautioned against claims of superiority, emphasizing the need for a common goal in fighting crime and criminality.
