The Ogun State Police Command says it has launched a manhunt for a woman suspected of murder in the Ipokia area of the state.
The police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, disclosed this on Saturday in a statement obtained by DAILY POST.
According to the statement, the deceased, identified as Morenike Oladega, a resident of Isunba Street, Ipokia LGA, and the suspect were involved in an argument which escalated into a fight at about 4:20 pm on Thursday.
During the fight, the suspect pushed the deceased, causing her to hit her head against a wall and collapse.
The statement noted that the incident was reported to the Command by one Ibrahim Oladega on the said day.
“Upon receiving the report, detectives were dispatched to the scene, where they found the victim lying on her back.
“A photograph was taken, and her body was transported to the General Hospital in Ipokia, where she was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.”
The suspect took to her heels and is yet to be arrested.
However, the Command assured members of the public that efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect and bring her to justice.
The Command also called on anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward and assist the Police.
