INEC real problem of Nigerian elections – Sam Amadi
The Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, Sam Amadi, on Wednesday, described the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as the real problem with elections in Nigeria.
Amadi said the opposition political parties always believe that INEC would help them rig the next elections.
Posting on X, Amadi wrote: “The real problem with elections in Nigeria is @inecnigeria.
“Why can’t opposition politicians come together and demand quick constitutional amendment to end INEC and create a new body appointed as Uwais recommended? Why?
“They believe INEC will rig for them next time? Foolishness.”
This is coming when INEC was accused of not ensuring a free and fair election in the just-concluded governorship election in Edo State.
There are allegations of vote-buying and INEC officials colluding with politicians to write the results of last Saturday’s election.
